What is non-skilled nursing care?
Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including help with bathing, dressing, grooming, transportation, and nutrition.
Medication reminders are also critical for many clients, whether needed due to memory loss or starting a new medication with uncertain side effects.
Providing the support a loved one would give if they had more time or lived nearby.
How are caregivers chosen and placed?
We arrange caregiving schedules around relationships, making a good match in skills and personality.
We do a detailed interview with each client's family to determine what needs we are to fulfill.
We make a best match based on our available caregivers.
We like to have at least 2 caregivers who know the client and what they need. This way, if one of the caregivers can't make the shift, there will almost always be someone who can step in who knows just what to do.
If the match does not work, we are happy to try a different fit.
Do you employ your caregivers or are they contract workers?
Each Caregiver is covered by Workers Compensation Insurance should an injury occur in your home
Social Security payments are made for each employee
All payroll taxes (employee & employer) are paid to the appropriate federal & state entities
Unemployment insurance is paid to both federal & state unemployment agencies
Each caregiver is bonded and insured
Does insurance cover your care?
We accept private pay or long-term health care insurance, but we do not have the manpower to handle insurance claims or paperwork.
What services are not covered?
Some care requires skilled nursing or medical professionals.
Wound care, administering medicine, therapy, or medical procedures all require licensed professionals.
We are best fitted for people who can spend some amount of time at home on their own without supervision.
If we feel we cannot meet your needs adequately, we will refer you to more appropriate services.
Where do we provide coverage?
