Our Mission

  • 1. Who We Are

We are the Marriott of Eldercare, not the Motel 6!

Traditionally, caregiving has been undervalued and under-compensated. We believe good care is possible and worth the investment.

Our Clients pay us well and we make their lives great!

We treat our Clients like we would our own parents or grandparents who need help living safely and happily at home.

  • 2. Our Clients Pay for GOOD Care

Our Caregivers make MORE than the company per hour of work.

We are paid every 2 weeks.

$12/hr for 3 trial jobs (if Caregiver completes payperiod)

IF Caregiver SHOWS UP ON TIME READY TO CARE

    $15/hr for client care

    IF Caregiver MISSES NO DAYS

    $16/hour at three-month review

  • 3. Policy

Dress Code; Would you want your picture posted in this outfit? Is it clean, comfortable, and safe? Would your grandmother like it? No scrubs - we don’t want to feel clinical.

Absences: We encourage you to take care of your health and have backup childcare available. When you miss, it ruins your Client’s day.

We reward no absences. We let go of people who are absent during trial/training and more than three days during the first three months.

YOU are responsible for finding a sub in GroupMe if you will be absent.

Smoking: none on the premises of the Client, and make sure you do not smell like smoke. Wash hands and change clothes.

Phones: No use of phones while caring for clients other than in emergencies. Period.

Parking: Park out of the way, and if your car leaks oil, park on the road.

  • 4. Caregiving

    *Form RELATIONSHIP with Client*

Ask how they are. Put your hand on their arm or back. Ask them about their childhood, job, family, and traditions.

    Preparing HEALTHY meals

Make sure Client drinks a glass of water while you are there.

Cleaning list - depends on length of visit. Always wipe down counters in the kitchen and load or unload dishwasher. Wipe down sink and toilet in bathroom.

Remind about medicine - we don’t give medicine, but check the pill box. See if Client needs refills or remembered to take medicine.

Transport Client to outings or appointments in THEIR car. Or get them outside for a walk or on the porch.

  • 5. Keeping Everyone Healthy

    Everyone needs to be on:

    Multivitamin

    Vitamin D with K

    Probiotic

Fish oil or Omega 3 pill

    Load up on vegetables!

EVERYONE WHO BECAME VERY ILL WITH COVID WAS LOW IN VITAMIN D!

    Stay healthy, get your raise!

  • 6. Communication & Perks

    -Download GroupMe

Pick up open or as-needed shifts and communicate with the team

    -Add Jobber on your phone

Clock in and out, check your schedule, and find out details about the job.

-We reward great care! Look for celebrations, perks, and opportunities.

*Leaving without submitting and completing 2-week notice results in a forfeited paycheck.
