    Gentle Exercise/Yoga meets at Trinity Presbyterian Church on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-10:30. All levels of fitness are welcome. Some people do the entire class in a chair. Others get on a yoga mat. The focus is strength, balance, and flexibility. No charge for the class, but twice a year the class makes a donation to the church for use of the space.

    Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports! It’s like a cross between ping pong and tennis. All levels are welcome and can join a growing group at the Sportsplex or McKee Park tennis courts (depending on weather) Mondays and Wednesdays 8:30-10:30

  • Master Gardeners Registration

    Master Gardener registration from august 15- Sept 12. Online classes from Oct 3- Dec 12 website for information and registration www.msuext.ms/mg

  • Golden Triangle Quilters Guild

    The Guild meets monthly, the 3rd Thursday of the month, 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm at the Trinity Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall @ 607 Hospital Road, Starkville, MS.

    We also meet at Trinity Presbyterian Church on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 9-3. Bring your current projects and spend the day. We usually order our lunch, but brown bag it with you if you'd like.

    Visitors are warmly welcomed! There is a $15/yearly fee for Members to cover expenses.

  • Golden Triangle Fiber Arts Guild

    The Golden Triangle Fiber Arts Guild meets on the 2nd Tuesday of every month from 5:30-7 pm at Starkville Presbyterian Church (280 Linden Circle).

    It's very casual and open to all levels of knitting, crochet, weave, spin, embroider, cross-stitch, etc! They have a Facebook group.

  • Starkville Community Market

    Vegetables, fruit, music, community, and cottage goods Join us each Saturday from 8 a.m. - 11 a.m. at Fire Station Park.

  • Boardtown Walkers

    Boardtown walkers meet weekly on Saturday mornings to get out and get moving! They have a Groupme page for communication on where to meet up. Text (no calls please) Aneva McMinn to be added to the group 662-312-4050.

  • Starkville Public Library

    Starkville Public Library has a monthly book sale, author talks, and community events. Check their Facebook Page for updates or stop by on Main Street and grab a calendar.

  • Senior Enrichment Center

    The Senior Enrichment Center is open Monday through Friday from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Mornings are scheduled for retiree groups who meet regularly. Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

  • Starkville Area Arts Council

    SAAC sponsors the Cotton District Arts Festival, runs various art and art education outreach programs in Starkville and Oktibbeha County to fulfill its mission to build a strong, creative, connected community through the arts.

    The Starkville Farmers’ Market is held Saturday mornings in Fire Station Park. You’ll find locally grown food, fresh baked goods, live plants, and local crafts and art.

    The market board welcomes committed volunteers.

  • Friends of J. L. King Center

    The J. L. King Center provides programming that creates pathways to prosperity for the surrounding community including youth development, healthy aging, and financial literacy. They welcome committed board members and volunteers who want to make an impact.

  • Friends of the Starkville Oktibbeha Library

    The Friends of the Starkville Public Library is a non-profit, charitable group formed to support the Starkville Public Library in its mission.

  • Oktibbeha Master Gardeners

    Volunteers of Oktibbeha County Extension who have a love of plants, serve the community and complete MSU 20-hour training in horticulture. 662 323-5916

  • Starkville Rotary Club

    The Starkville Rotary Club, founded in 1924, consists of more than 150 community leaders representing Starkville’s businesses, educational institutions, and governmental bodies. The club is one of more than 32,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas with about 1.2 million members worldwide. Our club is the second largest in Rotary District 6820, which encompasses 48 clubs in central Mississippi.
